Ma dunque, se noi tutti, in virtù del Battesimo, siamo sacerdoti, a cosa servono i sacerdoti propriamente detti, i preti, i parroci, il vescovo, il Papa? Essi hanno il ruolo che Gesù diede ai suoi discepoli e apostoli, di guide, protettori, pastori di un gregge. Il Sacerdote porta la Parola di Dio tra i fedeli, la spiega e la interpreta nei suoi passaggi più oscuri, e, nel frattempo, consiglia e conforta, incoraggia e blandisce, rimprovera, quando necessario. Il suo ruolo si avvicina a quello di Gesù stesso, capo della Chiesa, Buon Pastore, Fratello tra i fratelli.


Per aiutare le missioni Agostiniane ha cercato il supporto dei fedeli per fornire annualmente un container destinato alla Missione fondata dal confratello Agostiniano Scalzo Padre Luigi Kerschbamer a Cebu nelle Filippine e per supportare il Seminario Agostiniano di Bafut in Camerun.
